You think dogs and cats fight rough? The mice have lasers
Having started life as a Nintendo Wii U exclusive – where it was peculiarly named Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails – this clever indie platformer/shooter has made its way to the PlayStation 4 and Vita, shortening its name to the slightly-less-confusing-but-still-delightfully-quirky..
About The Game
Take control of Buddy, a rail-riding, laser-shooting young hero on a perilous quest to rescue his pet cat, Scram Kitty!
Kidnapped and imprisoned in the depths of the World's biggest orbiting space laboratory, along with all of Earth's cats, Scram Kitty is at the mercy of an army of experimental mechanized rodents. As you use your magnetic Spinboard to ride energy rails deeper and deeper into the station you will have to defeat the twisted mouse creations of an experiment gone terribly wrong. With a unique control system that allows for full 360 degree platforming action and thrilling 2D shooting, Scram Kitty DX will see you glide along glowing rails, leap across chasms and create arcing streams of shots as you rid each stage of its rodent aggressors and rescue all the cats imprisoned within.
We quite enjoyed the madness of Scram Kitty and his Buddy on Rails when it landed on the Wii U eShop last year. The developers are looking to share the love on other platforms as Scram Kitty DX has been confirmed as a cross buy title for the PS4 and Vita.
The PlayStation edition of the game will come with a brand new Challenge Mode, Trophies, and global leaderboards. Not only will it be a Cross-Buy title, but the same save file will be shared by both versions. Ftl advanced edition review. You can check out the announcement trailer of Scram Kitty DX below. The trailer may have gone up a few days ago, but no one’s realized its existence until now. And now you know!
